Room Tip:

Friendly smile greets everyone at the resort staff also like heaven. The rooms are very elegant in a typical Thai style. You can relax or have an atmosphere of healing aromatherapy candles. Also nice to take the Kata Beach overlooking the entire city in a location uptown. Concern, such as meals so far because it is also within walking distance to the center of the Kata is not even. Italian restaurant in the hotel is also recommended for seafood stalls or tie of the city's still there. The hotel is perfect for couples to spend on something particularly romantic.
“Lovely cottages in beautiful garden on quiet hill close to the beach”
samazing(port au prince)
We landed in Phuket and spent 3 days waiting for our diving excursion in the Andaman Sea.
We stayed at the Boomerang Village, which commprises a some beautiful and very roomy bungalows taken care in the minimum detail, immersed in a lush and well kept tropical garden. Both Superior and Deluxe are excellent choices and good price.
Service and client orientation were both excellent.
Position was ideal for us, as far from the crowd & traffic noise, yet only a 15 mins walk from the closest beach, restaurants and shops. Nonetheless, our option was to rent a scooter from the hotel and reach some close-by beaches which are smaller and more pictoresques than Kata.
Pool is not too big, but new and very well kept. SPA service can be arranged in the room (although we didn´t try it).
We also tried food at the restaurant the night of our arrival and it was good. Price is within Phuket´s standards.
Complementary breafast is on buffet and well assorted.
One note only: since the management reached out for feedback and suggestions, we made a point in the possibility to fix mosquito nets on the main bungalows´window, in order to enable fresh air in the cottages instead of using A/C (which we personally are not big fans of). Still, room service always burn citronelle oil in a burner in the room to prevent mosquitoes. Other mosquito repellents for the air are also offered in the room.
Should rain happen, customers are provided with umbrellas.
Security guard is 24/7 at the entrance.
Wireless internet and three computers with printer are also free of charge.
Lastly, we left with a Xmas gift from the reception. What can we say, we really loved Boomerang´s offer and client orientation.
Excelelnt value for money if you opt for quiet, quality, service and attention to detail.

“Beautiful Restaurant, Great Food and Service”
AngelaIndigo(Baltimore)
We are staying at the Boomerang Hotel, so the restaurant is right out our front door, though it is well worth the ride uphill for anyone who is not a guest at the hotel.
The restaurant is gorgeous, from the lush drapings to the candles and Thai art everywhere. The owner seems to pretty much always be in or around the restaurant, checking with everyone to make sure all is well... always a good sign. He is Italian, and the menu is split Italian and Thai. My husband ordered the Hawaiian pizza, which was very good, really an authentic Italian-style pizza. The crust was thin and crispy and the flavor had a nice kick to it. I ordered a red curry with pork and it was excellent, very good spice and rich flavor. The fruit shakes and cocktails are fresh and cooling. The staff is very friendly and attentive, you don't have to wait for anything. Dessert for us was a coconut sundae, delicious! The prices are also very reasonable, you would expect them to be much higher in such a classy place. It's casual fine dining, shorts and t-shirt are ok, but it's romantic and has wonderful ambience. It's not a big place, so reservations might be a good idea during the regular high season, but we had the place almost to ourselves.
One word of advice- The large menu includes a number of fresh seafood items that need to be ordered ahead of time, the morning before your dinner. I'm assuming this allows them to get the freshest seafood and prepare it for you personally. Read the menu ahead of time so you don't miss out. http://www.phuket-boomerang.com/en/restaurant.html.

“Loved it - will definitely be back again!”
CharlieW1985(Manchester, United Kingdom)
We got picked up from the Airport by the hotel which was a little crazy as there are hundreds of Taxis everywhere, but once we found our driver we were taken in a lovely car across the island to the hotel, approx 45 minutes from the hotel (dependent on the weather!) but once we arrived it was totally worth the car trip. We received a welcome drink and a comprehensive overview of how to use the facilities and details for breakfast. We were then taken to our room where we were shown how all the facilities worked and left to settle in. The room was amazing, really good size with 4 poster bed, and most importantly air-con!
They helped us organise trips and were really efficient during breakfast and we received excellent service during our evening meals - they will even do room service!
We took the free shuttle the hotel offers down the beach which was fantastic and made our own way back to explore.
The people cannot do enough for you and I would highly recommend any traveller to stay at this resort who is seeking a relaxing holiday getaway.
Thankyou for an amazing trip - especially Arty - you helped sort everything out without us having to worry at all!
Room Tip: If you ask for a pool suite room 116 is definitely the best option - it is up a floor so those around the pool cannot see in your room, but it still gives a lovely view of the pool and an amazing view out to Kata Beach Coast which is beautiful.

“wunderschöne Anlage einfach nur zu Relaxen”
wanze1958(Bad Wiessee, Germany)

“Lovely Stay !”
Petals888(Discovery Bay)
We had 3 nights stay at the hotel which was by far the best we had for our many many trips to Phuket. It's up on a hill and once you are there you feel so relaxed and tranquil. We have reserved a garden suite in the beginning but found the path to the room a bit rough for me. We would like to change to the pool suite which was not available for our period. The Manager Ms Suchada was so understanding and helpful that she recommended us to stay at another hotel near the beach but it was nothing as compared to Boomerang. We stayed for 2 nights but decided to go back to Boomerang although what they have available is the Superior Room. As there are some renovations work going on in the hotel which actually does not make any noise or disturbance to the guests, we have 30% off for the room rates. The resort is never crowded and you can have the pool all to yourself. The room is spacious and nicely decorated in traditional Thai. Buffet breakfast is good . We had dinner 2 nights at the resort and the food was perfect., especially the baked mussels with spinach and cheese. It so happened it was my birthday and they baked me a lovely birthday cake. All the staff and so helpful and always with a smile. The free shuttle to/pick up Kata Beach is another plus and taxi can also be arranged at a fairly reasonable price. Many thanks to Paolo, Suchada, Kim and all the staff of Boomrang that make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely come back.

This is a great resort for couples looking for a relaxed, tranquil setting. Myself and partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated in traditional thai. Breakfast is a lovely buffet which is very good and the restaurant is also very very good no complaints here. Staff are very friendly and very eager to help in anyway they can, the free shuttle to and from the beach is great and the taxi service the hotel also supply's is very good and more than well priced. “Honeymoon”
KereenOng(Singapore)
We took the Honeymoon package, thus there was airport transfer, romantic dinner for 2, spa package, oil massage in room and Phi-phi Island excursion included in the package. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, its secluded and you can find serenity here. Love the resort, the friendly assistants from all the staffs. The only thing is the hotel is far away from Kata Beach (15mins walk), but there was free transfer to the beach. Food in Cafe de-Sol was good, they served Thai food and Italian food. Love the romantic dinner served- Crab Pasta, oyster, king prawns - very generous portion and it was delicious! Overall, we enjoy our honeymoon stay here!
“A great place for a few days in transit”
Flashpacking2011(Sydney, Australia)
We stayed at Boomerang on transit to Phi Phi. The service from the staff was excellent. We were met at the airport by the hotel driver and driven to the hotel in an excellent car.
We stayed in a room near the pool. It was perfect. We would definitely recommend. A great pool plus you can hire scooters from the hotel. Wear the helmet, I didnt and got a small fine but they took my licence and I had to pay the $10 fine to get it back This took me over an hour to do!
Room Tip: Book the best room they have. Its still great value for money

“Lovely Resort. Quiet, huge rooms, great for couples”
GosfordMoo(Sydney, Australia)
Stayed here recently on my first visit to Phuket. I really don't know the area that well, but I am glad that I picked this place. I paid about $50 a night, inc breakfast, that being the off season rate.
I arranged for the hotel transfer both ways (800 Baht each way) and i would od that again. makes the travel from the airport, 40 minutes, so much easier.
Situated on a hillside with distant views of the Kata beach water area. The resort is quiet and privacy is assured. We took the garden villa. The room was huge, with a wonderful bed, good air-con, bathroom, verandah at the front u can sit at night if u wanted to, mosquito coils in room.
There is a swimming pool , not large, but more than adequate for the size of the resort. The resort itself is not large and this is one of its charms and attractions. Free internet and free computers to use (three).
We rented a motorcycle through the resort, and they also arranged a car rental for us. I recommend both via the hotel. The rates were fine and the convenience factor excellent. Staff were friendly and not obtrusive. Breakfast area is lovely, terrific design and perfect for the morning. The range of buffet was not huge, but it was more than adequate and always tasty.
This is a good base if you want to stay in kata and want some privacy. Close to Patong, Karon etc.. id stay here again next time
Room Tip: Ask for the garden villa

Cafe del Sol Italian/Thai restaurant “Excellent Thai food with excellent service”
6monthsout(Sydney, Australia)
This restaurant serves excellent Thai food. My husband ordered the sweet and sour which was one of the best we had in Thailand. The Italian food was good but I'd recommend ordering the Thai food as it was so much better. Don't be put off by the fact that the hotel is up a hill just outside the main streets of Kata - the hotel arranged a car to take us back to our hotel for free and gave us a thank you gift. Best service we have ever received from a restaurant!

We stayed at Boomerang Village at May'11. so far everything is ok. just a bit troble for the "the hil" only. other is ok....can say very ok.
It was quiet and small, with great rooms and friendly staff. really love it. especially for the restaurant of Boomerang Village. the 1st night dinner we are eat at Boomerang Village, what we can say is after this dinner, the other 2 dinner we eat at patong saveoy seafood restaurant and kata one of the seafood restaurant, no one is better than Boomerang Village restaurant. i very surprise that even of so famous of savoey seafood restaurant at patong beach, but after compare to Boomerang Village restaurant, the savoey food is not so specially alrdy..... Boomerang Village restaurant is the best dinner i eat at phuket.....really, if you love tom yam soup, then try at Boomerang Village restaurant.
finally what i can say is, i love Boomerang Village, sure wil back again!
“Perfect place for rest and relaxation”
judelivo(Gold Coast. Australia)
My Husband and I have just spent 3 wonderful weeks at Boomerang Village. We found the staff very courteous, happy and helpful, even if communication was at times a little difficult. We had a Pool Suite which was incredible value for money. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated with authentic Thai decor, and had both fans and airconditioning. The gardens set the ambience of Boomerang Village, particularly at night when it is lit up like fairyland, and the view to Kata at sunset is awesome. We used the restaurant on a number of occasions and found the meals to be very good value. "The Hill" provides good exercise, but is certainly not prohibitive. We hired a scooter from BV for the 3 weeks (daring for a couple of oldies!), which gave us total independence. We covered the whole Island this way and found great little beaches and eating places that even the locals rarely go to.
We are returning to Phuket later this year and have no hesitation in rebooking with Boomerang Village where you can be assured of a holiday of complete rest and relaxation.
“Perfect, would love to stay again.”
jenniwatford(Watford)
We chose to stay in this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and were NOT dissapointed. The hotel is beautiful, staff are friendly, and it's set far enough back from the bars and touristy shops to make it peaceful - yet you can walk to the beach and shops in 20 minutes.
We chose to eat at the restaurant most nights as the food is great - Italian and Thai with over a hundred different choices.
We jumped in a cab at the airport and were charged 1200b - but the hotel charges 800b - so much better value.
We loved our holiday at Boomerang and would definately go back!

“Great Small Hotel”
linmikga(Villa Rica, Georgia)
We stayed at Boomerang Village for 7 nights from February 26 to March 5, 2011. We arranged with the hotel for airport pickup and return for 800 baht (about $25 US) each way. The hotel is in Kata about 45 minutes from the airport. Our reservations were made through a third-party agency, but we confirmed directly with the hotel prior to leaving home and to arrange for the airport pickup. At check-in we were given a welcome drink and cool towel. We paid for the room and one-way transport at that time. Our superior garden room had a king size bed, bath with shower, safe, soap, shampoo, etc. The room was of good size with plenty of room to move around. Free wifi was available in the room and there were computers with printers available in the business center. There was also a book exchange in the library. Prior reviews of this hotel complained about the shower drain in the middle of the bathroom. It was better than some I have seen in Asia with a shower curtain to protect the rest of the bathroom from spray. Daily housekeeping was good. The hotel is on a hill and it is a reasonably easy walk to Kata Town and Kata Beach. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle throughout the day to and from town and the beach. There is a daily happy hour from 4 to 5. Breakfast buffet is included in the rate and has a cook station for eggs and omelets, lots of hot and cold options, cereal, breads and cakes, tea, coffee and juice. The pool is very refreshing, but depending on how many guests, there were often no loungers available. We ate in the restaurant several times for dinner and tried several dishes. Most dishes were very good and at a reasonable price. All of the employees were very pleasant. Although some did not speak excellent English, I don’t know any Thai and after all I am a visitor in their country. We were able to communicate anything we needed with very little difficulty. There were no surprises at checkout. The bill was correct for all food, beverages and return transport was there on time for our return to the airport. We stayed at Boomerang Village in the second week of a 7-week trip in Asia. As independent travelers we researched all hotels and made all of our arrangements after considering reviews on TripAdvisor and other sites. We were not disappointed and I would recommend this hotel.

“If you want an exotic geteway in a quiet resort, stay here!”
southamptonbythesea(Southampton, Canada)
My Wife and I spent 10 days here during our 2 month stay in SE Asia and it was the nicest place we stayed at by far. The name may sound a little hokey but this place is owned and operated by Italians who really understand how to treat their guests. The staff wait on you hand and foot and treat you like family. There are only 20 rooms and they are fabulous! Don't get a massage at the beach, the hotel masseuse is a real professional. The restaurant food is fabulous as is the service. The one downside, and its a small one, is the walk to the beach is a wee bit far but they make up for it with free shuttles or cheap scooter rentals. Phuket can be noisey but this is a true oasis away from all the hustle and bustle. Stay here, you will love it:)
“Perfect small hotel with an equally awesome restaurant”
IainWaugh(Bristol, United Kingdom)
We stayed at Boomerang Village for a week at the start of our round the world adventure and would stay there again without a doubt. The hotel is in Kata which from our admittedly limited experience of Phuket is the best spot to stay - a gorgeous beach, lots of restaurants and bars but without the noise and hassles of Patong.
BV is beautifully landscaped, with lush gardens surrounding the bungalows and a pretty pool area with a view of Kata town out to the sea. The rooms themselves are neat, attractive and clean with large beds. We had a suite for a few nights which was a good step up from the standard bungalows and probably worth the extra if you have it spare. There is a massage service as well which is great value.
Now although BV is up on the hill, so a good 15 mins walk to the beach, the hotel will drop you at the beach at any time up until 2pm and then pick you up at either 4pm or 5.30pm. Also, there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants within a 5 min walk. So you get the best of both worlds - a cheaper hotel due to not being beach-side, and practically instant beach when you want it.
The best thing about BV though is the restaurant. The gentleman who runs the hotel is Italian and his home country's culinary ability has been transferred to the kitchen. We had various Italian (pizza, penne arabiata, lasagne) and Thai dishes and all were nothing short of excellent - better than anything we ate elsewhere during our stay (although the crispy fried fish at the cliff top restaurant on the right hand side of the beach was amazing too..). Plus it is great value and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is genuinely no need to go elsewhere to eat!

"Superb stay”
rukola1(Zurich, Switzerland)
We stayed here for our honeymoon, had chosen Boomerang Village based on the various very good ratings in the web. We were treated very very nicely by all the staff members. I did not have the impression that this had anything to do with our honeymoon, generally everybody was treated well, friendly and quite professionally. The restaurant is of very good quality, a mix of Italian/ Thai (The chef is italian). The breakfast buffet was very nice also, service even ham and italian salami as well as cappucino etc.
Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious.
Pool area was nice.

“Excellent service, very peaceful and very friendly!”
Tunelblanco(Los Angeles, California)
The rooms are very clean, well taking care of, the place is really peaceful, and everybody there make you feel at home! The personnel is always there to help you and they care for you; they never make you feel like you are in a hotel with no personal interest on who you are! Everybody there is VERY friendly and they REALLY care for you! Every time that I remember my stay in Phuket I remember with all my heart the beautiful moments that I spend at Boomerang Village. I send all my greetings to everybody there; to the personnel at the main desk, to the personnel at the restaurant, all the way to the officer that gives you a military salute every time that he sees you at night, beautiful place to stay in Phuket!

A lovely complex away from the main road. The deluxe double room was beautiful and had everything we needed.
Service was fantastic and the poolside massage was glorious and very cheap.
The only minor downside to the place was that it was up a very steep hill. Taxis will drop you there and there is a regular bus should you want to go to the beach. However it's not easy to nip to the shops. All in all highly recommended.
“Excellent hotel - couldn't ask for better!!”
curlywurly83(Wigan, United Kingdom)
My partner and I stayed in the Boomerang in November for 14 nights and we couldn't have asked for more beautiful location!!
The location is perfect for a quiet tranquil getaway but still within walking (or tuk tuk) distance to all the local amenities and beach.
The cottages are furnished to a very high standard and the whole complex has a luxury feel to it despite the very reasonable price tag!
The staff are nothing short of excellent and are very friendly and helpful.
Overall the Boomerang is a perfect getaway and we will definitely be returning for a second visit sometime in the future! Thank you to Paolo and the rest of the staff for making our stay very very pleasurable!

The Hotel Boomerang Village is very beautiful, specially i like its traditional look and greenery that is amazing. Rooms are so beautiful. Service of Hotel staff is very good .Location of hotel is good. It is near the Kata Beach and Karoon Beach and Patong beach also take only 15-20 minutes so we enjoyed our trip. Mostly people go out for their travel to live in calm place and enjoy to their trip so i think Boomerang Village is good option for all of them.

Compagnia aerea utilizzata : Etihad Airways
Camera 114.
A bordo piscina.
Servizio ineccepibile e camerieri disponibilissimi.
Torneremo sicuramente.
Un grazie particolare al Sig. Paolo :-)
“What do you say that hasn't been said before....”
VitaBella10(Aust)
What can we say that you haven't heard before in all the raving reviews about the boomerang. To list: amazing, friendly and truly awesome staff. That is from the reception to management, to the kitchen staff and waitstaff, and not to forget to mention Lilly and Lek the hotel Masseurs, and all the staff that you only see in passing. Back to this a little later....
Anything you asked was never a problem to organise for you. We found staff at this little 3 star Hotel more helpful and efficient than some of the impersonal 5 star resorts.
Food - OMG we didn't go anywhere else in out 5 days. The Thai food here is so nice I didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else. The breakfast is extensive enough to suit most tastes. Besides how much can one person eat. Breakfast starts at 7 and finishes at 1 another reason to relax and sleep in.
Happy hour - yes! 4 -5pm every day we were there and we ordered two cocktails each, yum. Only on the first day did we think there was no alcohol in the Pina Colada, but we think it may have been confused with a non-alchoholic type of Pina Colada on the drink menu.
Hiring a car was not an effort and delivered within 15min of asking at the reception.
Okay..., things that may not be 5 star is the position as you are not on a beach and don't have private access to the beach but the Boomerang never states it is a 5 star resort, and does not have the 5 star price tag.
Also, for our liking one thing we would like to see, would be an 'option' for a thick pillow top on the mattress. We love a firm mattress, but the attached pillow top has lost its thickness and after the first couple of nights we were finding the bed and pillows a little too firm. But that is only our opinion.
But does that change anything for us? Not at all. We are all too happy to recommend the Boomerang as a gem. All who would stay here would not be disappointed - if you are looking for a resort where you would like your children to be able to go anywhere without supervision then you may wish to check out the location as it is not on a beach or have the tennis courts etc. But I love this fact as it means there are not screaming children everywhere 'let loose without supervision' to rain havoc. (sorry)
Now back to the staff although we only stayed 5 days we loved the staff and could easily have stayed longer if we could. It was even hard to say goodbye on leaving. Tears shed and a, "we will return next year" to have a great time with all working there. What else is there to say .... We felt the Boomerang just a lovely place which we based ourselves at and was a haven to return to each evening, to relax.
Thank you everyone. Such an efficiently run Hotel it is a credit to you all.

Boomerang was our introduction to Thailand. I was travelling with a friend of mine celebrating her birthday. We took a room right next to the pool and had to share a bed- We are not partners just good friends! The bed was comfortable and roomy enough for two friends, I'm sure this caused some speculation between the staff! The staff were lovely and helpful. On our first trip into town and the beach in Paolo's car my purse fell out of my bag... I was blistfully unaware of the fact until he tracked us down to return it to me. We did have a problem with our toilet but it was fixed as soon as we reported it. I would guess that it was just one of those unfortunate things that sometimes happens and not something that would happen regularly because the fittings were so good that I forgot where I was and swallowed some water while in the shower! The place was so comfortable and relaxed that a couple of times we forgot to lock our door as we went out to the pool which was only a few steps from our room we felt so at home! One down side was that the pool closed rather early but I am such a night owl I would swim at midnight rather than 6 or 7 in the morning and most places had their pool close about similar times.
We read reviews here on trip advisor when deciding where to stay and slightly dismissed the steep driveway mentioned by one person thinking maybe they exaggerated- they did not! I climbed it once then offered to pay all taxi trips back to the hotel door from that point on. I agree with the person who reccomends taking a map to help taxi drivers find the place.
Should you go make sure you book a massage it is done in your room and it is increadibly good and rediculously cheap!
The pool was a friendly gathering place for hotel guests and with two for one happy hour it beagn our 4pm pina colada tradition for the rest of our trip. It was a fabulous start to our treck across thailand. I wish I was there now!!!!

We (myself and three girlfriends) traveled to Phuket last January. We stayed at Boomerang for the first part of our trip and at Village at Coconut Island for the second half. This was our first trip to Thailand and we loved every moment. Boomerang was beautiful. Our room was very nice and kept very clean over the course of our stay. The grounds, as well, were very beautiful and maintained on a regular basis. The staff was lovely, helping us arrange excursions and transportation around Phuket and the surrounding areas. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. There is a huge hill and we often had difficulty convincing tuk tuk drivers to tackle the hill without the incentive of extra fare. We will definitely return to Boomerang when we are in Phuket.

Best place to Enjoy and relax.
Very quiet, super service!
Yes, a (very) steep Hill at THE entrance. Staf is very, very nice and helpfull. Rooms are beautiful, garden is à little paradise.
Very good food in the restaurant.
Great coffee at breakfast, serves nu à very nice lady. Staf at reception arranges everything !
Little minor is the internet connection, which is often down, caused by the many power dips.
A UPS would help, avoiding modem or acccess point to hang.
Rest is more than OK!!
Next year we will come back for shure, much netter place to be as Hilton or Holiday Inn, much more personal service!

We stayed three nights at Boomerang Village.
Positive:
The personal: very friendly and they speak English very well!
The surroundings: the swimming pool was very nice and there was a nice view from the restaurant. The breakfast was really good and they had a lot of different food! Dinner wasn't really special but not bad too.
Negative: nothing!
Note:
It's situated on a mountain top, but when you're young and healthy this is no problem! (10 minutes walk to the centre and 15 to the beach). Besides they have a free transfer to the beach.
Very Beautiful resort in the middle of paradise

We stayed at Boomerang village with my boyfriend on May 27th-June 6th 2010.
The garden and the resort itself was stunning! It was everything we expected and even more.
We had booked the Deluxe room, which was absolutely beautiful. We loved the bed with curtains and the airconditioning was very good with darkening curtains in the windows, so you could sleep without any distraction of the light or heat.
Buffet breakfast was excellent like the hotel restaurant Cafe del Sol as well.
We rented a scooter from the hotel almost every day and that was good way to get to know the area, Kata beach, Patong, Nai Harn etc. The location of the Boomerang village was good for us, up in the hill and it was very quiet and safe with the 24h guard.
In our warm memories is The Staff. We couldn't even imagine, how friendly and warm hearted they were. Especially the girls in the reception. Even the smallest thing you asked and they were helping you. You sense the caring, relaxing inviroment. The management were also very helpful and they worked along the staff.
Thank you for the most amazing vacation we had! We will come back :))

We stayed at the Boomerang Village Cottages in February 2010 and had the time of our lives. Their grounds are beautifully kept, and their pool is the perfect place to have a cocktail while enjoying soothing music in addition to the lush green surroundings. They have a restaurant which is absolutely phenomenal. We ate and drank something there everyday. We went on excursions to the Similan Islands and Phi Phi Islands. They also provide a very quick shuttle ride to Kata Beach, which is stunning, if you don't feel like walking. It was a vacation of a lifetime, especially because I got engaged in Phi Phi! Overall, this is a fantastic hotel so book early because they only have a limited number of cottages .Enjoy gorgeous Thailand!!
Exceptional service- best I have had anywhere

A beautiful, small and charming place with great rooms and a nice pool. Extremely attentive service, very kind, will do anything and everything to help you and will not charge extra for it even if for thing other places would. They also give you a small gift when you leave. it makes you feel at home.
The only down side, it's a bit far from the center (Patong is about 35 min) and not all taxi drivers know where is it. But it's worth it for the peaceful and blissful quiet of this place. I have great memories.

we booked this hotel after the no 1 rating in trip advisor.and the reviews and photos were genuine .
the manager mr paulo cared the guests in personal.
it is is a boutique hotel with few cottages.
it is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this hotel. The owners and staff are social at just the right level and they go to great length to make you feel at home.
a multi cusine restuarent is much required.
I recommend this hotel and it is real value for money

A really great place to stay
Seaside-Bill(Somerset)
All the positive reviews and comments here are absolutely spot-on. Boomerang Village Cottages is a very tasteful and relaxing place to stay - outstanding value and very well managed. We stayed for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable, well equiped and the terraced layout provides a good degree of privacy/seclusion and great views over the tropical garden to the sea beyond. Other reviewers observations about distance from Kata town/beach are valid, but don't let that put you of - the upside is the tranquility and views. It is possible to walk to local restaurants and the beach, but given the heat and humidity you'll find it easier to use the free beach transfer during the day or taxi in the evening. They're readily available everywhere and prices are fairly cheap, particularly if you're prepared to haggle with the tuk tuk driver. The bus service to Phuket Town passes along the main road a short walk from Boomerang and offers a fun trip in a colourful, open sided vehicle at insanely low prices - hail it just like a taxi. The restaurant on site is excellent and prices comparable to similar places in town. 'International cuisine' is available but the thai food is exceptional so why bother? Food, beer, cocktails and fruit juice prices are good, but if good wine is your tipple of choice you'll need deep pockets - it's very expensive anywhere in Phuket.
If you're thinking of booking Boomerang Village Cottages, DO IT, you won't regret it.

We are a mature couple who have a b & b in Valencia & therefore know a thing or 2 about standards & service. We stayed for 1 month in January 2010. The cottages are set amongst beautiful tranquil gardens,( Guests who have difficulty in walking up hill should request a cottage on the lower levels of the hill). Italian owned & run, the staff were amongst the best we have come across in our travels, every request greeted with a warm friendly smile & response. Excellent food in the Italian inspired restaurant, very good breakfast too. Ideally situated for Kata & beaches, only 30 minutes away by taxi from bustling Patong & Phuket town. Most days were spent lazing around the lovely pool, the most relaxing holiday we have ever had & we had no hesitation in booking for 2011 before we left. Highly recommended!!

We stayed for one night in Phuket and needed a place within a short distance of the ferries to Krabi. This place turned out to far exceed our expectations! Great service, friendly staff, fantastic swimming pool. Beautifully decorated, quiet rooms. A 15 minute walk to a pleasant beach.
Don't miss the breakfast!

Spent Christmas 2009, absolutely amazing place and location. The view over Kata is fabulous, I have travelled all over the world and stayed in many 5 Star Locations and I would rate this up with the best of them. Even better this place has soul, great staff team, relaxation, good food, great accommodation and is certainly not pretentious if any way. Keep it simple hire a moped, visit the fabulous beaches, visit the local eateries but always come back home to the Boomerang. I will certainly be back one day........
Una vacanza da sogno!

My husband, my friend and I stayed here in November in a suite. The room itself was very spacious and had beautiful wood carvings everywhere. The third bed was a proper bed and not a camp bed. The suite had magnificent views over the town across to the sea and was surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully tended gardens. We were lucky to have a room right by the pool which was far from noisy and one could always get a sun bed. The setting was beautiful and at night candles were dotted round the edge of the pool which had Balinese statues and fountains around it.
Despite being up a very steep hill we found the location very suitable for our needs. The hotel was away from the hub bub and noise of Kata and like a sanctuary to come back to. We loved the fact that we were staying in chalets rather than a high rise, non-descript hotel with no character.
Breakfast was a buffet under a thatch roof with everything you could imagine and every need catered for. The staff were very helpful and polite. Two for the price of one cocktails went down a treat at 4.00 pm. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had an Italian meal whcih was very tasty although the Thai food was equally so.
We thoroughly recommend Boomerang Village and would certainly go there again.
Paradise in phuket
uk-cazza(bournemouth)
This place is amazing. I booked it after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. I remember someone commenting on how quickly they had a reply to their enquiry and it was the same for me, Paulo was very polite and accommodating.
We booked one of the basic cottages and a pickup from the airport. As promised our driver was there to meet us and we were dropped off at the hotel.
People keep mentioning the hotels location. For us, the location was fantastic, it was set above the dusty roads in lush green beautiful surroundings and yes it is probably a 20 minute walk to the beach but this has benefits, as when the weather is windy and you get sand blowing everywhere on the beach, the pool at the boomerang is a great place to be, as it is sheltered.
The hill that everyone keeps mentioning is fairly steep, but it is the driveway to the hotel and is less than 100 meters long, so unless you are having to push someone up it, its not really a problem. We like to stay away from the noisy nightlife of places like Patong or the centers of Kata and Karon but be close enough to visit, so for us it was ideal.
We hired a scooter for £3 a day which I would highly recommend doing as it enabled us to go all over Phuket on it...for example to the big buddha, the lying down buddha, the gibbon sanctuary and two waterfalls as well as the towns and other beaches.
The man in the evening who looks after the scooters is really lovely...as are all the staff.
The room was great...although the beds were for us, far too hard and we were glad to get back to our own bed! I can't think of anything that the room was lacking really, we even had a gecko house guest that was addicted to ice-cream. The towels and sheets are changed daily and there is an aircon unit and a fan. Any slight problems we had with things (ie the electricity going off, probably due to us having the tv, aircon, fan and shower on at once) were resolved quickly (flick the reset switch in the box by the door).
The breakfast was adequate and available until late...I recommend the lattes.
So difficult to pick a single best thing...one of the best things is that they have a 'business center' which has a computer with free internet access so you can send emails or surf the web, another is the relaxed, intimate environment and another is the friendliness of the staff.

My wife & I stayed in a Suite at Boomerang Village Cottages for 9 nights in Kata.
We were looking for something a little different and boy it was just great. And a bargain at 75 Euros.
The hotel web site is spot on with its photos. Such a peaceful place & the staff were lovely. Breakfast everyday was sufficient & good variety.
Recommend that you hire a scooter or car to get around.

This hotel is wonderful
TS(Hong Kong)
This hotel is wonderful and will only get better as the construction on the pool area finishes up. It is a bit of a walk to the beach (15 minutes or so) and we were not sure exactly how to get there at first but after a lesiurely evening stroll we found it and were able to go there directly the next morning. I recommend to take a normal taxi from the airport and have a map printed out to explain to the taxi driver where the hotel is located. It should cost around 500-600 baht for the trip. Don't bother waiting for any kind of shuttle bus to fill up with other travelers. They are cheaper but it will take you forever to get there and you will most likely be last to be dropped off. Regarding strolling at night from the hotel: I found that the small white dogs at the base of the hill are friendly in the day, but turn into vicious guard dogs at night. If you come back to the hotel after dark I recommend you carry a stick from the side of the road to smack them in the face with as they try to bite your legs when you walk by. The pool is small but just right. It has a jacuzzi area and it was very nice to have a dip in the dark while looking out over the palm trees and full moon. The water is just perfect, not much (if any) chemicals or chlorine in it. In fact, I think having a drink by the pool, under the moonlight after a long day at the beach was the epitome of relaxation. It was our favorite part of the trip. The rooms were great. TV is nothing special but why are you watching TV in Thailand anyway!? Minibar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Drinks from the bar are good and not too expensive comparatively. One thing that didn't bother us but may be a concern for out of shape Americans or Europeans, you have to walk up a pretty steep hill to get to the hotel. But that just makes the pool at the top that much more inviting! All-in-all, a good hotel at a great price.

Beautiful Hotel. We enjoyed it very much!

This is the hotel i would strongly recommend if you are looking for a hotel near Kata or Karon beach, Phuket. Though the hotel is top the hill, you can rent the motorbike (about Baht 150 per day) from the hotel to reach the beautiful Kata beach.
My boyfriend has no idea what hotel had i booked before flying to Phuket. The moment we stepped out from taxi, he instantly told me i have certainly made the right decision. The services from the staffs were great, the pool is beautiful, the room is very comfortable and spacious. Their restaurant is great too, and you won't get bored with their menu as there are plenty to choose from. The ambience of the restaurant is good and quiet at night, so i would also recommend couple for romantic dinner in their restaurant too.
Little heaven...

My wife and I, stayed in Boomerang, from 10 until 19 of June. When we arrived, they told us that poll will be closed for a next couple of days, because they had some leaking problems, but instantly offered us 50% discount, that we did not ask at all. That was really nice of them, because price of the cottage was down to unbelivable 15 euros, with breakfast for two persons.Cottage was really nice, they cleaned it, and change sheets and towels, every day, as well.Only air con unit was little bit noisy and old, and he struggled to maintain room temperature.Maybe Paolo, should re gas or service unit.It does not bother us, so we did not ask Paolo about it.Breakfast was pretty much the same each day, but you have a lot of really quality products on the buffet table, as really nice Italian prosciutto, ham, fresh croasants, and many, many, more, yummu stuff. You can order any kind of eggs, and best coffee, that I had in last few years. We dinner at the restaurant, for 5-6 nights, and food was really nice, thai and italian style, for very reasonable prices, specially because you get 10% discount on any meal if you are a resort guest.Kata beach is lovely, as we rent bike, and passed almost every beach on the island, and on the end decided, that Kata is maybe best place on whole Phuket.Beach is around 15 minutes far away from hotel, if you are walking, but my advice is, rent a bike, from hotel for 200baht or even small suzuki Jeep for 800, and explore one part of the island every day.You dont like to drive? No problem, just ask Paolo and he will drive you to the Kata beach, and pick up at any time...He is a really nice guy....If you are a walking type, beware of killer hill, last 50 meters up to resort, it's really a challenge, on hot, humid day...Once when you get to the beach you can rent two sun lounges, for 150 baht, all day, and eat fresh pineaple, or drink coconut milk, for 50 baht...If there is a red flag on the beach, dont go in the deeper water, because water rip can catch you. There was couple drowning on Karon and Kata beach, during our stay.Be carefull, please...We did not have any problem at Boomerang at all, and we intend to stay 5 days, but as we been treated really good, we prolong our stay on 9 days.We payed our bill on last day, with credit card, and there was no any billing issues, or extra charges on it.On leave they give us small present, and that was one more sign, how they threat their guests...Thank you, once again Paolo&Paolo, and we wish you all the best, guys, and hope to see you soon, again....Grazie tante...Maja&Darko
Boomerang Cottages, the staff and management are just great!!
agingone(Bangkok Thailand)
In January of this year I began to plan a return trip to Phuket Thailand for my wife, I and twin daughters. I happened to come across Boomerang Cottages on the internet.
I sent off an email requesting a rate check, and was answered by the GM within 2hours. I requested a family suite with bunkbeds, and was even given the low season rate for the first two days of my stay April 29th and 30th.
A couple of days before we were to leave the GM Paulo emailed me asking if I needed an airport transfer, I declined as we live here in Thailand and I knew how to get a metered taxi.
Upon arrival we were met by "Paulo 2" who got our luggage out of the taxi, then Khun Khanitta took us for a welcome drink in the sala overlooking Kata beach. When the room was prepared we were taken in by Paulo 2 and he explained all the features of the room in his delightful Italian accent.
The room was a suite adjacent to the free form pool. Lovely with the advertised bunk beds in place. A very quiet airconditioner was a great relief. The room came with everything you would expect in a 5 star resort, but with a 2star price. The bathroom was very beautiful indeed with a high pressure rain shower.
The rooms are scented with Citronella to keep the mosquitoes away and it works very well. The smell lingers on your clothes, and when we got to Khao Lak our next destination we could take out clean clothes from the bag and still remember Boomerang.
The restaurant is just great, with real Italian cuisine, with the pastas and pizza being exceptional. The breakfast that comes with the room was great, and as advertised is open till 1pm. I especially enjoyed the Parma ham, as did the kids.
All the staff and management work very hard to keep this place in perfect running order. The last night I asked Paulo " Am I correct in assuming the name Boomerang indicates that you will always come back?" A big smile came over his face and he said, "Yes you do get it now!"
We were given incense, a Boomerang Cottages CD, and a cool sticker to put on our car when we left.
Thanks for the great time, and we will see you this time next year again.

Boomerang Village has justifiably garnered great reviews from its visitors, and I must admit that I was very satisfied with my stay. Several features make the hotel a great value and ideal staging ground for Phuket excursions. First, the hotel is not a sprawling resort but instead infuses every gesture with a personal touch. The staff greeted us individually when we arrived, escorted us from our taxi to our room while shielding us from the rain with an umbrella, and provided us with some general instructions and contact information. Second, the hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Kata Beach. The walk from the hotel to the beach takes about fifteen minutes, but Boomerang Village provides complimentary bikes to guests. The bike trip takes about five minutes. Finally, the somewhat secluded hillside location is close to the nightlife, but distant enough to offer peace and quiet. Boomerang Village is not an all-inclusive resort, but it provides great value, a great view, and a personal touch. The only downside is that the breakfast buffet tends to repeat the same menu. But at least it has some delicious Italian meats thanks to the Italian proprietors!
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent.

Awesome place Boomerang! Paulo and Paulo and the staff really make your stay fantastic....everything was fab: the room (17), the pool, the restaurant, the service, the staff.... We had a pickup from the airport (recommended) and upon arrival we had things "explained" to us re: breakfast (included), pool, (free) transport to the beach, etc etc. Paulo had a wonderful flower layout in the room for our honeymoon arrival which was really special for my wife. The food at the restuarant is excellent....Boomerang is an Italian owned place and thus the Italian food is amazing. The Thai food is just as good - so it is the best of both worlds, definately try it out when you're too tired to head to Kata for some eats. The Boomerang is indeed off the beach and "up a hill", a huge hill. But don't be daunted! Rent a motorbike and off you go! We were scared to death to do so but it was an absolute hoot and certainly allows you to putter about Kata very easily. Alternatively, Boomerang will take you down to the beach in the morning and bring you back at a certain time in the afternoon -- and of course you can walk one way and take a tuk tuk back - although they will charge you more because it is "up a hill". Great stay.
Fantastico!

We spent four nights in Phuket at Boomerang Cottages under the excellent care of Paolo. The slope was intimidating on first impression but it's definitely walkable.
Service -- More personal than a five-star hotel. Paolo personally greeted us and checked us in without any hassle. He also introduced the room and facilities as with any proper hotel. Standard services as in any proper hotel like allowing charges to the room, fresh towels and sheets daily among others.
Room -- Perhaps the most impressive aspect, looked very much like a five-star room with all the furnishings, with a personal touch including citronella aroma therapy in he event of a stray mosquito.
Location -- Most people love the hotel for its quixotic location. Although not located along Kata Beach, it's just a ten minute walk, while most of Southern Thailand's other beaches are accessible by Paolo's excellently priced scooters for rent. For the price Paolo is charging for his rooms, it's virtually impossible to find digs of a similar quality.
Beautiful Village and Area
SportsGal(Langley, BC)
We had the pleasure of staying at the Boomerage Village Cottages for several days at the end of November before having to head back to Bangkok to see if when the Bangkok airport was going to open up again. If we knew it was going to take longer we would have preferred to stay here! So here is my review:
Location: Beautifully landscaped, we cannot stop saying how gorgeous it was and very well maintained. We loved walking around feeling we were in our own Oasis and jungle. It definitely had a nice feel to it away from the Kata Beach town. However, it took 15-20 minutes to walk to the beach/town. Yes, they do offer a free shuttle down to the beach, but they couldn't accomodate 4 full grown adults in one car so it would have been several trips. Also, you are responsible for your own way back. Most of the taxi drivers have no idea where this place is. The cards in Thai Paolo gave us to show him helped, and pointed them in the right general direction but when we came close we had to point to them exactly where to turn because it's easy to miss. Also, yes that hill is a killer. Because of it, we didn't venture down at night for dinner. Since we were up on a hill, we had a nice view of Kata town and a very faint ocean view :) On the walk to town there were several stray dogs around but none were aggressive and they pretty much ignored us when we walked by.
Rooms: We stayed in the Superior Cottage which was beautiful, and we had bunk beds in ours. One complaint we had is that the beds were really hard and not comfortable. We would rotate to see who got stuck on the bunk beds for the night because they were worse than the bed. But the rest of the cottage was great, western style toilets, a hot shower, mini fridge, a safe we used, and TV. We liked the decor too and it was pretty spacious and very clean. We really liked the patio we had out front with two lounging chairs to relax and view the gorgeous gardens.
Amenities: The pool recently opened so they were offering a "Happy Hour" special which was buy one drink get one free between 4-5pm. We made sure to stick around the pool during that time to take advantage of the special. I found out my mai tais and pina coladas were included so I enjoyed that! The pool was clean and in good working order of course, the pool area was nicely designed with some statues and a shower. They have a pool/snooker table that I unfortunately never used, and a dart board.
Restaurant: We had a free breakfast buffet every morning which was pretty good, a couple times if you came right at 8am everything wasn't ready yet.. But it had a decent selection of food which filled you up.. Better than nothing! It was served late too until 1pm, and the restaurant didn't open until 4pm. They also gave you a 10% discount for eating at their restaurant! So we ate there everytime at night because we didn't want to go up the hill again later lol. The food was delicious but more expensive. We had the pasta and pizza dishes which I really enjoyed. However, do not expect speedy service because there (like everywhere else in Thailand) was slow. I really enjoy the mini crackers with tuna on top after they took our order since it was so yummy. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a nice view too of Kata Beach.
Staff: Paolo was wonderful and extremely helpful.. Whenever he saw us he would make sure everything was fine and how we were doing. He tried to help us out when he ccould when we were looking into getting on a bus to Bangkok, and what our options were when we were trying to figure out that mess. He gave us many helpful tips and advice for the area and to watch out for the tuk tuk mafia, which they were! The staff at the restaurant were polite and patient but I don't think they spoke much English. Overall everyone was very friendly and tentative. We booked a Phi Phi tour through them with no problems.
A suggestion I have is to have an internet cafe or station up there. I found it a bit annoying to have to walk 15 minutes to the nearest internet cafe to write a couple emails. We were lucky that our previous hotels offered free internet to us every day and this was different since there wasn't even a computer we could use.
The only other thing my dad didn't really like was that everything was charged to your room, much like a cruise ship.. I didn't mind too much and understand why and it is technically more convenient.. You just have to watch what you spend and make sure you don't have a nasty bill at the end. You get your bill and sign off on it and pay it at the end.
So yes, you are away from the main sights and restaurants and up a big hill to get there.. It does give it it's charm though.. But it is a beautiful spot and definitely worth checking out!

Among the Best Hospitality Experiences of Our Lives
NoiceTampa(Tampa, Florida)
I feel sadness because neither the reivews on this site; nor the lenghty review below; nor the pictures I have attached; nor the Boomerang's own website can do justice to this gorgeous and gorgeously-managed jewel of an inn in Phuket. I could write a novel on the Boomerang (some would argue that I already have), and still would leave you with barely a sense of what a magnificent experience my wife and I had there last month in the hands of our three hosts: Paolo, Paolo (both owners share the same name), and Orfeo.
Nonetheless, I will try, starting with this telling anecdote: After spending too much time in Bangkok, we arrived at the airport in Phuket after 9:00 p.m., skeptical as to whether or not our pre-arranged taxi (through Boomerang) would even be there to pick us up. We had had it with con-artists, and were convinced that we would be stood up. But sure enough, the hotel had perfectly arranged for someone to pick us up, and HE was waiting for US, since our flight was late. The Boomerang even went throught the trouble of telling us in advance that he would be holding a bright, green placard with our names on it. And, of course, there he was, outside the airport, a Thai man with a bright, green sign (to distinguish it from the signs of the other drivers there to pick people up) with our names printed neatly by a computer (not hand-written). The taxi driver quickly loaded our luggage and took us directly to the Boomerang, with no fuss.
Why I am I going into such detail over a "simple" airport pick-up? Because that experience neatly and accurately describes the hallmark of the owners of the hotel: complete and absolute attention to detail, which is extremely rare in this day and age. They had a taxi driver there, ON TIME, with a sign ready to go, easy to read, and well-
thought out in advance. And the charge was reasonable, and added to our room bill; there was no haggling, no awkward maneuvering to pay the driver as we got out, no stress. This is the level of attention that Paolo and Paolo give to every guest (I witnessed similar treatment of other guests while we were there). It is like they KNOW what is so difficult and stressful about travelling, and endeavor FIRST to minimize such frustrations.
Once we got there, although it was well past 9:00 p.m., Paolo was there to greet us personally -- he even opened the door to the cab! Again, having come from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, I was concerned about our luggage, where we would take it, who would possibly get their hands on it, etc. Paolo would have none of it: he asked us to relax, go have a seat at the restaurant, and that he would take care of everything else. So, like other reviewers have mentioned, we took a seat in the super stylish and chic restaurant overlooking Kata beach, admired the gorgeous view of the lights in the distance, and enjoyed our welcome drink. Paolo joined us minutes later for what he termed a "brief" on the hotel: the hours the restaurant was open, the different tours available, the pool, the history of the hotel, and lastly showed us our room. There was no check-in line, no forms to fill out, nothing! He simply told us to relax (saying "that's what a vacation is for!") took our passports, made the copies, and we sank into the couches, letting him take care of the rest as we sipped our drinks, grooved to the ambient house music, and enjoyed the view.
Afterward, he personally led us to our room -- WOW. What beautiful accommodations! Please look at our pictures, but know that they cannot possibly convey the level of detail in the design and decoration. Everything in the rooms is so tastefully and artistically done, I really wondered if they hired a renowned interior decorator or designer (Paolo designs everything himself). In true Italian fashion (all of them are Italian ex-pats living in Phuket), the room was spotless and eminently clean. The bathroom was also immaculate, seemingly brand new and very clean. They had folded the towels on the bed in creative shapes and even strewn orchids over the sheets and on the dresser. YES: real orchids. I could not believe my eyes.
Paolo then showed us how to operate everything in the room, told us about the mini-bar (reasonable prices! with snacks, too!), showed us how to lock the door, and then left us for the evening. We were in such shock as to how upscale everything was that we had to ask Paolo before he left whether there was a mistake in the price we had been quoted. Could this room at such a stylish hotel really only be E30 Euros per night? The price was so low, I felt like I was ripping THEM off!
As other reivewers have also pointed out, the hotel is off the beach "strip," so to speak. We considered this an absolute plus. Sure, it was nice to go down to Kata beach and see all the shops, but pretty, it ain't (the water is beautiful, but the commercial aspect is not so appealing). I would not have wanted to stay there in the middle of everything. The Boomerang was perfect, and a true oasis, ESPECIALLY because of the outstanding restaurant right on the property. I'll be darned if those guys haven't thought of EVERYTHING: the restaurant is full service, serving free breakfast until 1:00 p.m. (yes, that late) and dinner starting at about 5:00 p.m., I believe.
I cannot say enough about the food at the restaurant, the lovely, cozy view, and how reasonable the prices were. The menu is largely Thai and Italian, with the Italian dishes being the stand-outs. They have an excellent cook, and it was such a treat for my wife and me to enjoy the best pasta we've tasted in many years, done in the true Italian style. DELICIOUS. Two thumbs way up.
There are no stupid up-charges, or service charges, or water charges, or any such other ridiculousness. In fact, although the public can eat at the restaurant, they give a 10% discount off everything for guests of the hotel!
From a practical point of view, the breakfast is also one of the top reasons to stay at the Boomerang. Not only is the food delicious, but the sheer variety of what they offer is really amazing. At every morning, they offer fresh orange juice, tea, cappuccino (when you have one you will see what all the other reviewers are raving about), croissants, two different types of sliced bread, jams, butter, coconut spread, eggs, bacon, sausage, Italian cold cuts (including prosciutto!), Thai fruits (including marvelous dragon fruit), fresh-
made waffles, Italian sweets, and cereal. We woke up looking forward to breakfast every day, reassured by the fact that it was going to be there for us until 1:00 p.m.! These gentlemen have thought of everything, and have trained their staff to anticipate your needs, never pressuring you or rushing you. All of them are so kind, sincere, and a pleasure to be around.
We rented a scooter from the hotel for peanuts, and enjoyed most of the island that way. We were able to get to the beach in two minutes, and loved the fact that we could transport ourselves instead of having to rely on those conartists posing as tuk-tuk drivers. What a relief it was to have three straight days where we never had to dread a negotiation for transportation. Paolo also set us up with a great scuba diving excursion to the surrounding islands, and even had the dive operator come to the hotel the evening before the trip to brief us on the dive, and accept our payment.
Could I possibly say more? YES! Just like others have noted, the pool is recently opened (we were there the day it opened), and it is gorgeous. Once again, Paolo has demonstrated his design prowess, and has built a beautiful deck, luxuriously decorated for swimming and relaxation. After a certain point, I looked at my wife and said: "We really don't even need to leave this place. Everything we have is right here!"
But I guess it all really comes down to hospitality. If you are the type of person that appreciates warmth from your hosts, and going the extra mile to make you feel at home and comfortable, then this is your hotel. Paolo, Paolo, and Orfeo were so gracious throughout the entire stay, that I almost hugged them when they came out to say goodbye to us as our taxi (which they again arranged) picked us up after we checked out. What genial men with cheerful dispositions. They were born to do hospitality and it shows from the moment you first lay eyes on their smiles.
Thank you, Boomerang. Andres and Leah
We had a wonderful time!

Although we have used tripadvisor several times before to sort out which Hotel to book, we have never written a review before. So this means a lot itself :-)
During our travel in Southeastasia we stayed at many different Hotels, but we agree that the Boomerang was our favourite one.
As written in several other reviews already, the three Italians and off course the complete staffs gave as warm welcome and have been really caring for the time of our stay. They try to do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
I would say it is rare that the room and the hotel resort look like on the picture of the hotels homepage, but the rooms really do exactly like on the homepage and I would even go so far and say the resort even looks better With the plants and flowers along the way and around the cottages it is really easy to relax and enjoy the views.
Restaurant and breakfast buffet is really good as well. The walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes. We were asked if we have had any problems with dogs while walking to the beach, which we haven’t. One guest obviously complained about the dogs that were barking when he passed a house on the way to the beach. Besides it is none of Boomerangs business as, we haven’t had any problems with them.
Boomerang Village Cottages : the Paradise is not so far!!!!

Boomerang Village Cottages offers you all what you need for a perfect holiday: hospitality and professionalism, stunning rooms in a spectacular tropical garden with very tasteful water features where you can stay in perfect relax away from the crowd.
The resort, located in Kata hill, is near from Kata Beach, you can also rent a scooter or a car thru the resort at a very good price.
The rooms are very clean, with air-conditioning, shower, TV, mini-bar, safe box and outside terrace.
A tasty buffet breakfast, served from 8am to 1 pm in the thai style pagoda, is included in the room price.
I booked directly by email and I required a trasportation service from the airport which was very efficient and cheaper than hiring a taxi.
....and with the swimming pool, that is coming soon, Boomerang Village Cottage will be what you now can only dream: a place similar to the paradise.
Thanks for all to the owners and the staff and see you soon...sure!!!
Paradise on Phuket

We stayed 7 nights in a superior cottage. It was more than wonderful!
Room: very nice decorated (lovely details like buddhas, candles...).
Breakfast: possible till 1 a.m. so there is enough time to sleep late, no hurry to go to breakfast like in other hotels, lots of fruits, eggs, bread, marmalade, joghurt, croissants, biscuits, cheese, salami etc., fresh juice and very delicious espresso, cappuccino, latte, cafe au lait - whatever you like.
warm welcoming, very familiar atmosphere, quietness when having breakfast, wonderful view at Kata
We have been in a 5 star hotel on Bali (indonesia) three years ago - and if we have to rate Boomerang Village - it is definitely a 5 star hotel!
Thanks to all the staff. We had a wonderful time. If we return to Phuket in future, we will be your guests once more.

A secret gem in phuket

We spend 5 very relaxing nights during december 2007 at Boomerang Village cottages. The beautiful bungalow village with its lush tropical garden lies up the hill, some minutes from Kata and Karon Beach. Upon arrival, we were immediately warmly welcomed by one of the owners (Paolo) who personally showed us around the facilities for about 20 minutes. Every wish we had during our stay (e.g. laundry, baggage scooter rental, airport pick-up and transfers) was fulfilled by Paolo with a smile and "no problem". The bar and restaurant staff was also very friendly and helpful making us really feel at home.
The bungalows itself are very nicely decorated (we were in a deluxe bungalow for two nights and a standard one for three nights). The deluxe bungalows are situated at the top of the premises, have breathtaking views of distant kata beach, are a bit more spaceous and are equiped with a DVD player (DVDs can be borrowed from the restaurant). Sitting on out balcony with a cold beer, watching the sunset over Kata beach was one of the best Phuket experiences we had. At night we typically walked down to the beach where all kinds of tourist entertainments are available (approx. 10 minutes walk). For the trip home, we mostly used a taxi (avoiding the steep climb). During the day, we rented a moto from the owners and explored the beautiful southern phuket beaches.
This place really combines the best of eastern (e.g. friendliness) and western cultures (late breakfasts with real(!) cappucino). If you are looking for a relaxed place with a private atmosphere, a few minutes walk away from the beaches and the main tourist action, boomerang village is an excellent choice. We did certainly not regret it and would go again anytime.
Great location, Superb services

This was our first trip to Thailand and Boomerang was the first hotel we stayed in. As we arrived well after midnight due to some delays, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from Paolo and the ease with which we were guided to our room. As everyone else has emntoined here, the room was more than what we expected. We has Suite 16 overlooking the hills and sea in the distance.
The services we received the coming days were simply superb! Nothing is too much trouble and a very late checkout (at 16:00) was no problem either. Delicious breakfast served in the open air restaurant area really gives you a tropical feeling. And their lunches and dinners are just equally yummy.
For those who is looking for a beach vacation, Boomerang might just be a bit far from the beach, but a walking distance of only 15 minute didn't stop us from visiting the beautiful Kata beach.
Really looking forward to return soon!
